I made a new web app/game for all the Spurs fans. Or the Spurs-curious. I recount the time I spent making it, the decisions I made, and the friends I made (hallucinated) along the way. If you're not into technical stuff, you can skip!
I haven't written about The Beatles in ten years? That changes today as I examine one of The Beatles (and John Lennon specifically) seminal works. Which is strange because it is one of the worst produced songs in their catalog. So much so that The Beatles' enterprise has tried many times to get it right.

It's been a minute since I've written something. So as not to over-exert myself, I talk about one of the few things that constantly rattles inside my brain, Pokémon. What's the best Pokémon game on the Switch? Legends Arceus sucks? Kinda! Maybe? Who would win in a fight, Mewtwo or Goku? This and more hot takes! I also apologize for saying cringy things like, hot takes, 'It's been a minute.', and Goku.
For whatever reason, things are different now. Despite each child having no less than two screens to entertain them, they are the sole owners of the living room TV. Grown up shows must be watched on the sly. After dark, on mute, and rarely worth the effort. We're marooned on our phones and subject to the kid's choices. I always thought this would work out beautifully. I still love watching kids TV. But no, that type of TV is not what they want to watch. (To be fair, Like us), they prefer picking something off YouTube. 80% of the time this comes down to which yell they prefer to hear. But one channel that's won me over, — nay, inspired me — is Crazy Mario Bros.
I love ranking things. Obviously. Some of the times I feel most alive has been internally debating things like whether or not Taylor Swift's Red makes my yearly Top 50 or not. (It definitely should have.) But I only ever jokingly thought about ranking my favorite songs. The idea seemed gargantuan and persnickety -- even for me. There are songs I assumed to be my favorite song: Wonderwall is obvious. If you don't like Wonderwall then you just weren't there. Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer; to paraphrase Ratatouille, not anyone can be a great songwriter, but a great song can come from anyone. You know these songs, and you should love them or familiarize yourself with them. Last summer, though, as I shuffled through a living nightmare I turned to one specific song to find solace.
